PRE-PUBLISHING SERVICES

Everything you need prior to publishing is accessible to you, however, it can get complicated.  You may have any or all of the requirements prior to sending us your manuscript, but if you need any of the following, please let us know.

Copyrighting:  This is a must and is very inexpensive.  You may do it on-line or we will file it for you, for minimum costs.  We will file your copyright at $50.00 (that includes your cost for the actual copyright).

ISBN/Bar Code:  This is even more complicated and costly.  The International Standard Book Number is a 13-digit number that is used to identify the book for booksellers.  They track the selling activity—this is how Amazon uploads the information to their site.    The ISBN number cost approximately $150.00 each (you get a price break for more than ten).  You may purchase a bar code at the same time.  Should you need any assistance, please let us know.  We will oversee your filing, processing, and uploading of cover for a $50.00 charge.

Text Conversions:  Most printers have their own publishing software and require the writer to convert their text to their requirements.   Not many writers can purchase $800.00 software for one, two, or three novels (at least not at first).  We will convert your text, give you an electronic or hard copy for your final approval for a small fee of $25.00 each occurrence.

Cover Design:  I struggled with the cover and had to redo it so many times.  Printing companies can be elusive about the exact requirements, so I had to guess and send it and, ultimately, it cost me a bundle (but what I’ve learned is costless). 

If you're not a visually creative person and you need help with cover design, no problem--we can feasibly handle the entire design with your input.    If your design is more complex or difficult--I will tell you immediately and quote you the price.
